Crowdfunding Pitch Campaign
We are always interested to see new ways film-making is developing and Indiegogo and Sheffield Doc/Fest have teamed up to organise a crowdfunding pitch at this years festival.
There are 5 brilliant projects competing for the chance to win a pot of about £2k, contributed by the Current Crowdfunding Pitch. But they need you to help them get to that £2k. 5 documentary projects will compete live on stage to win a pot of money donated by the funders who really know what makes for a quality film - that's all of you.
This is a high-profile chance to show the international film world that crowdfunding really works and that collaboration is where it's at in 2011 for filmmaking. The revolution is on, join the charge. Last year the European doc world was introduces to Crowdfunding and you can watch what happened here. This year Doc/Fest is going one better with a whole day devoted to Crowdfunding, in which this pitch will be the centrepiece of showcasing community funding in action.
